The air is warmer, the sun is brighter, the fruit is sweeter, and the vegetables, crisper.
And nothing’s better than buying all your produce from the local farmer’s market.
There’s just something about knowing that just a short time before you eat it, your produce was hanging out where Mother Nature intended. Many farmers markets also include flowers, crafts, and other agri-business items.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has a listing of the various farmers markets around the country. Go to their site, click on your state, and get the listings for the markets in the area. Information includes: location, hours, and contact information.
I found a farmers market in my neighborhood that is Saturday, from 9 am ““ 2 pm. Guess you’ll know where I’ll be!
