Flight Attendant Shopping: Vino 100 in Bellevue, Washington

vino100 Flight Attendant Shopping: Vino 100 in Bellevue, WashingtonI stumbled upon Vino 100 on a shopping expedition with a fellow flight attendant.  It is conveniently located at Lincoln Square (across from the Bellevue Square shopping mall), a perfect place for a couple flight attendants to check out after a rigorous day of shopping.

I’m tired of places that make wine selection sound like its rocket science, and have always subscribed to the theory that the “best” wines are the ones that I like, regardless of vineyard, vintage or price.

That’s the same attitude that Vino 100 owner, Elizabeth Lee, brings to her store.  Although she carries some nice, high end wines, her focus in on the good and affordable.  They boast an inventory of over 100 wines priced under $25.

Free wine tastings are offered, and the day that I was there, the featured wines were from small Italian vineyards.  It was a nice selection of four wines, two of which I liked enough to purchase a couple of bottles of each.  The staff was friendly, and focused on making wine tasting fun, rather than putting on a façade of pretentiousness.  In-depth wine classes and tastings are also offered.

It’s quite a drive for me to get to Bellevue, but Vino 100 offers enough to convince me to make the trip.

Vino 100 is located at Lincoln Square, 700 Bellevue Way NE #110 in Bellevue.  Stores hours are:  Monday-Saturday, 9:30 am-9:30 pm, Sunday 11 am-7 pm.  There are other Vino 100 stores located around the country.
