Today’s matchbook from the Chateau Sonesta Hotel was picked up on a trip to New Orleans several years ago. It was my first trip to the city, and while I was there attending a conference, the convenient location of the hotel (in the heart of the French Quarter) made it easy to combine a little pleasure with business.
I visited many nearby attractions and landmarks, including Jackson Square, the Riverwalk, the Garden District (fabulous architecture and gardens), and the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Of course, not trip to New Orleans would be complete without stopping by Pat O’Brien’s for a Hurricane. They weren’t a real favorite mine. However, I spent lots of time at Cafe du Monde enjoying beignets and coffee.
