With all the political news flying around today, all eyes, regardless of party affiliation, are turning toward Denver and the upcoming Democratic National Convention. (The Republicans will gather a few weeks later in Minneapolis.)
Those unfamiliar with Denver may think of it as a sleepy little western town, but it is a modern city with skyscrapers, theaters, art, and all the trappings of any metropolitan area.
Although I have spent some time in Denver recently, it is not a city that I know well. As this next week unfolds, I expect that I, along with millions of viewers, will come to know the city and people of Denver a lot better than we do right now.
