Delta’s Gogo Wi-Fi Connection.

I’m flying at about 30,000 feet as I make my way from Seattle to Atlanta on a Delta Airlines flight.  Since they now boast wi-fi on all their domestic flights, I was excited to give it a try – maybe even provide a little live-blogging from the stratosphere.

keyboard thumb Delta’s Gogo Wi Fi Connection. However, I currently don’t seem to be able to register a Gogo connection as I search for wireless networks.  I’m looking around and don’t see anyone else hard at work. . . yet.  The Flight Attendants are busy getting their service done, so perhaps when they have that out of the way, I’ll see if they know any special tricks to get the connection.

Pricing for the service is $7.95 for handheld devices, $9.95 for laptop use on flight less than 3 hours in duration, and $12.95 for laptop use on flights more than 3 hours duration.  Service is available in the continental US only, so I won’t be able to give it a try over the Atlantic.

Big sigh!  I know it’s early in the program implementation, but I had hoped to give it a try.  Will look forward to access in the Sky Room in Atlanta.
