We passed on the Eiffel Tower restaurant when we were in Paris because we’d heard it wasn’t worth the price, although I wished we’d been able to go up for the view.

There are also a slew of reviews of the LV version on Yelp http://www.yelp.com/biz/eiffel-tower-restaurant-las-vegas (none of them mine…I just started with a few Detroit area reviews on Yelp in the past month).

Yeah, it’s a spendy proposition, that’s for sure. And while it’s out of my usual price range as well, I can’t say that it’s out of the reach for a special occasion (think birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s Day, etc.).

Generally speaking, I, too, opt for something more moderately priced, and Las Vegas does have lots to offer in that price range.

There seem to be a variety of reviews, I just always seem to be able to put more weight on a review from someone that I know. This is clearly not an every day type of restaurant, so it would be nice to have some comments from someone who has been to comparable restaurants, rather than comparing it to mid-range places.

There are so many great restaurants in Vegas, it’s hard to narrow down a definitive recommendation. I’ve only been to the Eiffel Tower restaurant once — it was good, but in my opinion, hard to justify the price. If I were going to spend big bucks taking visitors to a nice restaurant, I’d probably pick NINE steakhouse at the Palms. But most people in my circle don’t spend that kind of money on one outing. For what it’s worth, I’d recommend more moderately priced options… Burger Bar at Mandalay Place and Pink Taco at Hard Rock are a couple of my favorites. I don’t, by the way, work at any of those places.
