Rome, Italy, may be one of the classic destinations for Easter, and Rome Cavalieri offers several ways for visitors to enjoy their Easter holiday in the Eternal City with the entire family – from culinary to spa to advice from the expert concierge on the best Holy Week activities on which to embark.

The premier urban resort is offering a special Easter rate that includes accommodations and a daily buffet breakfast available in the hotel’s L’Uliveto Restaurant.

Other special Easter in Rome events and offerings include:

  • Easter Sunday Mass – This most important celebration and blessing of urbi et orbi held by the Pope takes place in St. Peter’s square. Tickets must be arranged directly through the Vatican which Rome Cavalieri’s expert concierge service can secure.
  • Private Tour of the Vatican Gardens – With Easter being the busiest period of the year at the Vatican, the Concierge can help to plan tours well in advance and arrange a private visit of the Vatican Gardens and the Sistine Chapel.
  • Way of the Holy Cross / Stations of the Cross – The stations of the Via Crucis were placed at the Colosseum in 1744 by Pope Benedict XIV. A huge cross with burning torches lights the sky as the Stations of the Cross are described in several languages. At the end, the Pope gives a blessing. This is a very moving and popular procession taking place in in the evening at the Colosseum on Good Friday. Tickets not required.
  • A special brunch of Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, complete with live music and a special wine selection respectively at € 145 ($202 USD) and €120 ($166 USD) per adult and €45 ($62 USD) per child.
  • For children, Rome Cavalieri will offer a variety of activities on April 19th, Easter and Easter Monday:  Colored Magic Sand Decoration class, Easter Egg Decorations, and of course, an Easter Egg and Chick Hunt in the private Mediterranean park grounds.
  • Take a break from exploring the city and indulge at the hotel’s award-winning Grand Spa Club with the “Choco Relax!” treatment, available for the entire month of April. This decadent, anti-oxidizing total body massage made of pure chocolate includes an application of cocoa butter to the entire body and hydrating chocolate body cream.  Top off the treatment by savoring a cup of delicious chocolate tea served in the relaxation lounge. Available at €120 ($166 USD) per person.
