Malaysia is not a country on the to-visit list of most Americans. It can be hard to get to (it’s a full day-plus-some from the West Coast), but this exotic Southeast Asia country offers some of the best value luxury experiences in the region. Set aside your preconceived notions about this predominantly Muslim country, and be prepared for some great history, cultural, shopping, art, and food experiences in this fascinating corner of the world.

      Thanks so much. I really enjoyed my time in Malaysia, both in Kuala Lumpur and the rest of the country. So much left to visit, though, and getting out to Borneo is still out my to-visit list. I hope you enjoy your time there as much as I did.
