I didn’t grow up knowing about the continent of Oceania. We simply referred to Australia and vaguely grouped some other island territories along with it. Eventually, I made friends with people who lived in Australia, and they explained that they referred to their continent as Oceania.

I liked that and have adopted it here. There are 14 countries that make up Oceania, and I’ve not been to any of them. Nor have I visited Antarctica.
